Lehigh crash is investigated

State police at Fogelsville reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 1:48 p.m. Sunday along Kistler Road, in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County.

Troopers said Charles F. Christ, 18, of Breinigsville, was driving a 2006 Subaru Impreza southbound and swerved to avoid a deer. The car went onto the berm and struck an embankment, then continued across both lanes and went down another embankment, rolled over twice, and came to final rest on its wheels.Christ and his passenger, Alexander Sheridan, 18, of Slatington, were not injured. The car had to be towed. Christ was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.Troopers also reported on a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:26 p.m. Friday along Kings Highway, in Lynn Township. Troopers said Margaret M. Zondlo, 21, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra southbound when the car went onto the berm and struck a guide rail. It then traveled across both lanes and struck a guide rail on the opposite berm. It then traveled back across the two lanes and hit a second set of guide rails where it came to rest.Zondlo was not injured. She was cited for the crash.
