November 15, 1980 Mike Tracy carries 28 times for 170 yards and four touchdowns to not only lead Marian to a 35-8 win over Mahanoy Area in the Eastern Conference Class B Southern Division championship game but also break the state record for career rushing yards. Tracy's record-breaker comes on a 38-yard TD run in the fourth quarter, allowing him to pass Matt Suhey's total of 4,557. The Colts, coached by Stan Dick (Dakosty), also receive 78 yards rushing and a score from Pete Bumbulsky while Caszy Kosciolek runs for 47 yards and throws for 79.
