A driver was injured Saturday when involved in a crash along Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township. The crash occurred just before noon at the intersection with Hahns Dairy Road.

According to one fire person on scene the man was traveling north on Forest Inn Road and may have dozed off at the wheel. The Jeep entered the right berm traveling across a lawn down a steep embankment striking as large pine tree before coming to rest on its roof in a stream.

The victim was treated at the scene then transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center in Allentown.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
