A Summit Hill man died early this morning as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Summit Hill police reported that at 1:23 this morning, officers received a report that there was a 24-year-old male at one of the cemeteries in the borough who was threatening to harm himself.Police responded to the scene and found the man, whose name has not been released. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Lansford police, the Carbon County coroner and Lehighton Ambulance assisted.Police report that the incident doesn't appear to be suspicious.
