A medical transport van was involved in a crash in Lehigh Township on Monday.

Township police said the crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. along Route 248 (Lehigh Drive) at Aspen Drive. Police said Cristian Piedrabuena, 25, of Hawley, Wayne County, was operating the van, owned by Sunny Transportation Inc., when a witness said the van drove into the oncoming lane, then back across the highway and into Berlinsville Park, where it struck a light pole and a street sign.The van was occupied by a physically disabled person who fell from a seat but was not injured. Police did not identify the passenger.
