Six adults, teens cited in Tamaqua fight

Six people have been cited after a fight on Nov. 6 involving adults and Tamaqua Area Senior High School students.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Penn and Oak streets at the end of the school day at 2:35 p.m. for what was reported to be a large fight in progress. Initial reports said up to 30 people were involved.When officers arrived, they were met in front of 303 Penn St. by several adults who all said they had been assaulted by several students who were walking east on Penn Street. The students said they were called names and attacked by the adults.After speaking to everyone involved, including several witnesses, police filed citations against the following:Pamela Wilder, 53, of 303 Penn St. disorderly conduct for yelling at the students, using racial slurs, and with harassment for hitting and pushing a 16-year-old female;Torrey Mueller, 38, of 303 Penn St., disorderly conduct for fighting with what appeared to be everyone, harassment for pushing a 17-year-old Tamaqua male, and harassment for pushing and punching a 19-year-old Tamaqua male;Susan Reznick, 30, of 303 Penn St., harassment for pushing a 19-year-old male and disorderly conduct for yelling and fighting in the street.A 16-year-old Tamaqua female was cited for disorderly conduct for fighting and kicking in the door at 303 Penn St., harassment for punching Wilder and for striking another person with the door as she kicked it open.A 17-year-old Tamaqua male was charged with harassment for striking Mueller with an umbrella, and another 17-year-old male from Tamaqua was cited for harassment for pushing Mueller.
