A Monroe County driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township.

Troopers said Liston A. Richards, 80, of Tobyhanna, was driving a 1999 Nissan Altima eastbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. He was unable to avoid hitting the animal, troopers said.
