A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Monroe County.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 24 they were dispatched to an area of Route 115 in Tunkhannock Township for a report of an erratic driver. Officers were told a black Mercedes was "all over the road" and almost struck other vehicles head-on.Police located the vehicle in question just off 115 at Route 903. A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Lubomir Svoboda of Jim Thorpe. He showed signs of intoxication and submitted to field sobriety tests.He was then placed under arrest and transported to the county DUI center for a blood draw, which he refused. Charges were filed, police said.
