A Tamaqua man with an outstanding warrant for his arrest found himself behind bars after a police officer saw him getting into a car on Pine Street.

Albert Shaw, 31, of 33 Mauch Chunk St., was in the 300 block of North Pine Street on Nov. 1 and entered a green Honda Civic driven by Michael Neff. A police officer on patrol saw Shaw and was aware that he was wanted by Schuylkill County detectives. The officer stopped the vehicle and took Shaw into custody.After determining the warrant was still valid, Shaw was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
