State police at Frackville are investigating a theft from vehicles incident in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said the thefts occurred along Williams Street and Barnesville Drive, in Ryan Township, on Oct. 27, between 1:25 and 2 a.m.Troopers said the victims of the thefts were a 41-year-old man and a 66-year-old man. Two Garmin GPS units, a Bic lighter, and a bottle of prescription muscle relaxers were taken from an unlocked vehicle. About 50 CDs and about $10 in loose change were taken from the other car. Troopers did not indicate if the second vehicle was locked.The second victim confronted the criminal in the act, who then fled on foot towards Route 54. He was described as being a white male in his 20s, wearing a hoodie and jeans.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
