A Carbon County driver is facing charges following a crash in which a vehicle ran into a Monroe County business.

State police at Lehighton identified the driver as Shane Bartenope, 27, of Lehighton. He is facing charges including driving under the influence, aggravated assault while DUI, driving under suspension, accidents involving death of injury, and recklessly endangering another person.A vehicle Bartenope was driving left Route 209 in Kresgeville, Polk Township, about 2 p.m. and crashed into the Durah Pools building, located at 856 Interchange Road. The vehicle sustained fire damage in addition to front end damage. The building also sustained damages.Troopers said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and injured. Her name and injuries sustained were not available this morning as the crash is still under investigation.
