A Schuylkill County American Legion Post was robbed of a large amount of cash over the weekend.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the Tower City Harry Heartter American Legion Post 468, located at 2 Clarks Valley Road, Porter Township, was entered on Saturday by criminals who broke a window to gain entry. Once inside, the criminals went to the kitchen area and broke open a cabinet and removed about $1,585 in cash.The incident occurred at 3:47 a.m. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
