The final phase of the cleanup of the former McAdoo Associates Toxic Waste site in Kline Township is well underway.

Equipment was moved onto the site and workmen for Clean Sites Inc. of Alexandria, Virginia, began the removal of a 15,000-gallon storage tank located at the far northeast corner of the site.Workers, dressed in protective uniforms and using self-contained breathing apparatus, climbed into the tank and discovered about 18 inches of liquid and sludge, which was then pumped into an awaiting tanker truck. It was then transported to an incinerator for proper disposal.
