A Monroe County man has been jailed after he physically assaulted a woman.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department were dispatched at 10:53 p.m. Thursday to a reported domestic dispute at 1101 Seven Nations Drive in Tobyhanna.While en route, it was reported that someone had been stabbed.Upon arrival, police were able to determine that David Piller, 40, of Tobyhanna, had accidentally stabbed himself with a switch blade and cut a 31-year-old woman as well. Piller also struck her in the head several times causing bruises and swelling to her head.Piller was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility pending a preliminary arraignment.A hearing is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Nov. 12 before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Fluegel in Tobyhanna.
