Fall dinner

St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold a fall dinner at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the auditorium of the church. The meal will follow the 5 p.m. worship service, which will feature the Perseverance Jazz Band.Reservations are a must to attend the meal, so that the committee can prepare the pork and sauerkraut. A sign-up sheet is located in the back of the church.Party heldThe Sunday School of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, held its annual Halloween party on Monday evening. There were 30 children in attendance along with their parents. Prizes were awarded to the following children, most original, Erin McArdle; prettiest, Natalia Woodward; funniest, Colton Steigerwalt and dad, Brian; spookiest, Bill Bynon; and judges choice, Deliah Levitz and Kaia Shiner.Following the awarding of prizes, a special guest, Elvis, (Austin Sheckler) performed "Jail House Rock."
