State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a home invasion incident that occurred on Oct. 16 but not reported until now. The incident occurred along 

Squaw Road, in Penn Forest Township.Troopers said about 3 a.m. four males dressed in dark clothing forced their way into the home through the front door while the family was sleeping.Once inside the residence the males held the family at gunpoint and then took a silver .357-caliber Charte Arms revolver, a .45-acp high point semiautomatic pistol, a iPhone 5, and a wallet containing $800 in cash from the master bedroom.The four also assaulted one of the victim's before leaving the home, police said.They fled through the front door and left the area in an unknown direction.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
