A Berks County man avoided injury after he struck a deer in Ryan Township Sunday.

Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville said that at 6:41 p.m., Stephen Goroshko, 60, of Womelsdorf, was operating his 2010 Dodge Caravan southbound on State Route 81 when he struck a deer along the highway in Ryan Township.Goroshko, who was wearing his lap and shoulder belt at the time of the incident, was not injured.His vehicle was towed from the scene.
