A Schuylkill County driver facing charges after police said he fled the scene of an accident.

State police at Frackville said Roy J. Weikel, 52, of Girardville, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado pickup along Schuylkill Avenue in West Mahanoy Township, about 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 5 when his vehicle sideswiped a parked 2011 Dodge Nitro.After impact Weikel fled the scene. A witness was able to secure the license plate number of Weikel's vehicle, troopers said. The Silverado was later located at Weikel's residence.Troopers said Weikel was charged with multiple citations.
