Info on electric supply

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission says electric distribution companies should ask customers every three years to review the information given to electric generation suppliers.

Companies maintain an eligible customer list that contains customer information such as historic usage, telephone numbers and addresses. The companies then provide that list to suppliers. Customers can contact their electric company at any time to restrict the information being provided to the suppliers. The lists provide suppliers with information that will allow licensed competitive suppliers to identify potential retail customers and better tailor products and service offerings to meet customers' needs.Suppliers must comply with the state's Do Not Call list.
