Borger to discuss GOP record in Jim Thorpe

A Democratic state representative candidate plans to discuss the environmental record of the Republican party Thursday at the Carbon County Courthouse Annex in Jim Thorpe.

Patti Borger, who is challenging incumbent state Rep. Doyle Heffley, R-122, will join representatives of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania following the Carbon County Commissioners meeting at 10:30 a.m.According to a press release from the Borger campaign, she will discuss Act 13.Borger said the legislation "has been marketed as an environmental protection law but actually limits the liability of gas drillers for damage to the environment."
