Honoring those who made the supreme sacrifice was an important part of rededication ceremonies held at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.

The hospital honored Carbon County World War II dead and original hospital contributors with individual plaques placed in a permanent brick memorial located outside the hospital's main entrance. A Tree of Life, citing contributors to the 1983 building fund, was also unveiled, then placed inside the hospital foyer.Approximately 100 people attended the event.
