A driver sustained a minor injury in a one-vehicle at 11:11 a.m. Thursday along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Jeffery S. Hoover, 37, of Curwensville, Clearfield County, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 pickup eastbound when he attempted to retrieve his cellphone and failed to see traffic slowing in front of him. He applied his brakes too late, swerved to the left to avoid a collision, and struck several trees along the left berm.Hoover was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment.
