Boscov's will host Friends Helping Friends, a community fundraising event from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, in all 43 of their stores.

In 2014, Friends Helping Friends raised over $600,000 for charitable organizations in communities where Boscov's stores are located.Community service agencies and schools have been invited to participate in this benefit shopping day, using discount shopping passes, which they have been selling for the past few months. Each shopping pass is good for 25 percent off purchases on Tuesday. Organizations selling the shopping passes keep the $5 ticket price.At the stores, Friends Helping Friends Day shoppers will enjoy savings, refreshments, entertainment, demonstrations and samplings and a chance to win a door prize.Several participating groups will also be providing volunteers to help during the event selling shopping passes, providing entertainment or helping with demonstrations.
