No injuries in Palmerton crash

No injuries occurred in a two-car crash Wednesday morning in Palmerton.

Borough police Chief Randy Smith said the incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. when a 17-year-old male from Palmerton was parked on the north side of the 700 block of Delaware Avenue and attempted to pull his 1996 Plymouth Neon out into traffic.As he pulled out, he struck a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup operated by Karen Marie Bradberry, 48, of Palmerton, who was traveling west on Delaware Avenue, he said.Smith said the teen said he looked in his rearview mirror and did not see Bradberry's vehicle before he struck the passenger side of her pickup.Both vehicles were towed from the scene, he said.Bradberry's vehicle needed to have a flat tire repaired, and sustained minor damage to the passenger side, while the teen's vehicle sustained disabling damage to the driver's front side, Smith said.No charges were filed, he said.
