State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a burglary at a Carbon County home.

The residence on Byron Lane, Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest Township, was entered by forcing open the front door. Unknown items were removed. The home is owned by a 33-year-old Albrightsville woman. The incident was reported at 11:50 a.m. on Oct. 9.A 25-year-old man of 1600 block of Erie Court in Effort reported his vehicle was entered while parked at his residence and a gas credit card and a CD player header were removed. The incident occurred sometime overnight of Saturday into Sunday.
