October 13, 1979 Mark Hogrelius throws a pair of touchdown passes to lead Pleasant Valley gain a 19-14 Centennial League win over Stroudsburg. Hogrelius tosses a 13-yard scoring strike to Allan Johnson and also hits Dan Beck with a 54-yard TD completion. The Bears, coached by Tony Caracio, also receive a 47-yard scoring run from Eric Matheson, who finishes the contest with 100 yards on 19 carries. PV's defense comes up big with five turnovers, two of them fumble recoveries by Beck and Bob Wireman that set up two of the teams' TDs.
