A Northampton driver is facing charges of driving under the influence and fleeing or attempting to elude police following an incident that occurred on May 16 at 2:18 p.m.

Troopers said Jonathan Bender, 26, fled on a motorcycle at Route 33 at the Lehighton exit, to the intersection with Route 611, in Hamilton Township, Monroe County. A pursuit continued for about 5.5 miles until he was arrested at 2:25 p.m.
