Carbon break-ins reported

State police at Lehighton reported on the following burglaries that occurred at locations in Carbon County.

A residence of 99 Wargo Drive, Penn Forest Township, was entered through a basement window. Once inside the criminals removed a Hi Standard .22-caliber and Saur & Sohn 9 mm semiautomatic pistols, and an Apple iPod. Entry occurred sometime between Sept. 7 and 12. Police did not list the owner of the property.A residence at 150 Club Road in Lower Towamensing Township was entered by breaking a lock on a first floor window. The criminals then went to an upstairs bedroom and removed a small safe which contained five guns. The incident was reported at 2:45 p.m. on Sept. 22. The victim's name was not released by police.A barn on the property at 2300 Spruce Hollow Road, in Towamensing Township, was entered sometime between Sept. 23-24, and removed was a Coleman 5k watt generator and a Homelite chain saw. The owner is a 81-year-old female, troopers said.The property of Victoria Aita, 49, of 365 Maple Drive in Lower Towamensing Township was entered through a kitchen window by removing an air conditioning unit. Removed from the home was a box of jewelry. The incident was reported at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30.A garage on a property in the 4100 block of Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township was entered and removed was two chainsaws and a climbing rope. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 6:45 p.m. Oct. 1. The victim is a 45-year-old female, troopers said.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
