Lehighton managed to pick up a boys soccer win, but lost in field hockey in Scholastic sports action on Friday.
BOYS SOCCERNo. Lehigh-LehightonThe Indians jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first half and never looked back en route to a 4-0 non-league win over the Bulldogs.Zach Christoff, Dan Baka, Patrick Lawler and Frank Bokan all scored goals for Lehighton.The Indians outshot the Bulldogs 21-4.Lehighton is now 15-3 overall and 10-2 in the Schuylkill League. Northern Lehigh fell to 6-12.FIELD HOCKEYWhitehall-LehightonThe Zephyrs had a bit too much for the Indians as they picked up a 4-1 victory.Kourtney Cunningham scored three goals for Whitehall, while Cara Bonshak added the other.Allie Rossino scored the lone goal off an assist from Riley Durishin for the Indians.Whitehall had a 20-7 edge in shots on goal and a 18-6 dge in corners.Michelle Bozilesky had 16 saves for Lehighton, while Kayla Nailor had six for Whitehall.In the JV game, Lehighton picked up a 2-0 victory to end the season 16-1.
