A Carbon County man admitted in the county court on Thursday he had sexual contact with a young girl.

Brian S. Kibler, 40, of Palmerton, pleaded guilty to one count of corruption of a minor before Judge Steven R. Serfass. The charge is a felony two offense.State police at Lehighton charged that the victim, then a 10- to 11-year-old female, knew Kibler, and sometime during 2011 she went to Kibler's home in Franklin Township and spent the night.The victim told trooper Nicolas De La Iglesia that Kibler had her dress in a thong and watch pornography with him. She further told the trooper that Kibler had her perform a sex act.When first interviewed by De La Iglesia, Kibler admitted to the incident.Serfass deferred sentencing because the charge falls under the provisions of Megan's Law. He must undergo an evaluation by the state sexual offenders board to determine if he is a sexual violent predator. If it is determined that he is, then he must register for life as a sexual offender.
