A Schuylkill County man was jailed early this morning following an assault incident at a Schuylkill County business.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred inside E&T Italian Pizza and Restaurant, located at 275 Route 61 South, in North Manheim Township, at 1:15 a.m.Troopers said Anastacio Rodriguez, 45, of Auburn, grabbed Kimberly McGovern, 30, of Schuylkill Haven, by the hair and threw her to the ground. While she was on the ground, Rodriguez proceeded to punch and kick her, troopers said.Rodriguez was arrested on charges of simple assault and related offenses. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker of Shenandoah and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $5,000 straight cash bail.
