Nesquehoning police reported on various motor vehicle code citations issued by officers recently.

On Monday Chief Sean Smith issued five speeding tickets along Route 93 in a 55 mph zone. Speeds reported were 80, 79, two instances of 71 and 67.On Tuesday, Oct. 8, officer Timothy Wuttke issued the following citations: no passing zones on routes 209 and 93; and operation of a motorcycle with a learner's permit only on routes 209 and 93. He also issued warnings for speeding, 62 in a 40 zone; and a warning for operating a motorcycle with no eye protection.Also on Tuesday, officer Robert Blisard issued four speeding citations, two on Route 54 in a 40 zone, with speeds of 60 and 56; and two at Oak and Catawissa streets, a 25 zone, with speeds of 43 and 41.
