Events include a display of fire apparatus, car rescue demonstration, safety smokehouse and rides on a firetruck. Free refreshments will be available.TamaquaThe Tamaqua Fire Department will hold a fire prevention program at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Tamaqua Elementary School and 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Jerome Regional School.NesquehoningThe Nesquehoning Hose Company No. 1 will hold three programs at the Panther Valley Elementary School on Friday. Times for the programs are 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. Apparatus will be on display in the rear of the building.PalmertonPalmerton Fire Company will host an open house at its new quarters at Fifth Street and Lehigh Avenue, from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight, Wednesday and Thursday. Everyone is invited.
