A Carbon County constable was removed from office following a hearing before President Judge Richard W. Webb, who said "There is a time to stop doing the constable's job. That time is now."

A petition to remove Charles R. Zaengle, 69, from his position was filed by Carbon County District Attorney Gary F. Dobias in response to Zaengle's pleading guilty to a single count of simple assault.
