:Pocono Medical Center, Stroudsburg, is holding a "Heroes Barbecue" free of charge for emergency responders from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at the hospital.

The event, for police, emergency medical technicians and firefighters, will be held rain or shine in the emergency department/EMS parking area. A professional photographer will be available from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. to take photos of responders, their teams and rigs. All responders will receive a special gift.

The barbecue includes hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, corn on the cob and baked beans.
