A Monroe County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred at 11:27 a.m. on Thursday in the 200 block of Dogwood Lane in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said they were dispatched to that area over a verbal argument that turned physical. As a result Jason Anthony Knight, 31, was charged in an incident involving a 27-year-old female.
