A New York state resident has been charged in Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge have charged Ronald Hansen, 52, of Brooklyn, with scattering rubbish. Troopers said at 1:25 p.m. on Sept. 14 Hansen dumped household trash in a dumpster at the Sunoco station at the intersection of Route 209 and Weir Lake Road in Brodheadsville.
