The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling southbound on the Northeastern Extension between the Pocono and Mahoning Valley interchanges to be prepared for a single-lane traffic pattern to be in effect until 7 p.m. today.

At 7:30 a.m. construction crews will establish a single-lane pattern southbound, closing the right lane between milepost 89.8 and 89 for slope remediation operations.

Motorists traveling south of the Pocono interchange should anticipate reduced speeds and slow moving or stopped traffic until the pattern is lifted.

Motorists are urged to obey posted 40/55 mph speed limits and use extra caution when approaching all work areas.
