Police in Upper Macungie Township are investigating a domestic assault incident in which a 28-year-old Lehighton woman is the victim.

Police did not identify the woman but said the incident happened at 7:49 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Memorial Road in the township, near Allentown.The accused is Jonathan Mendez-Rivera, 28, of Allentown.Police said it is alleged he assaulted the woman and then fled in her 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Police are also listing the car as a stolen vehicle.
