West End Fair break-in investigated

According to Norman Burger, a West End Fair director from Chestnuthill, a break-in was discovered at the West End Fairgrounds, believed to have occurred sometime over the weekend.

Homer Borger of Kunkletown made the discovery Monday morning. Attempts to enter several buildings were unsuccessful. It appears a crowbar or some type of instrument was used to unsuccessfully open doors to the Everett building, the Howell building, the Bake Oven and the livestock storage building door, which now has a hole in it. Only the caretaker's storage building's hasps had been broken to gain entrance. The Pennsylvania State Police were notified. Investigation is ongoing to determine if anything was stolen.
