Governor vows capture of trooper's killer

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett says investigators won't rest until they capture the gunman who ambushed two state police troopers outside their barracks, killing one.

Corbett spoke briefly at Blooming Grove Baptist Church on Monday afternoon. He was joined by State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan.

Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson II was killed and another trooper was critically wounded in the Friday night attack at the Blooming Grove barracks in rural northeastern Pennsylvania.

Dickson was stationed at Fern Ridge and conducted patrols in both Carbon and Monroe counties.

Corbett calls the late-night ambush an "assault on society."

The governor will meet with family members later Monday.
