Flag programThe Summit Hill Lions Club is continues its American flag program. During the good weather months, the flag will fly in Ludlow Park in memory or honor of veterans from the community.During the week of Sept. 15, the flag will fly in honor of John Keltz.A 1941 graduate of Summit Hill High School, he enlisted in the Navy upon graduation and served through 1945, having attained the rank of AMM first class while serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise in the South Pacific during World War II.John will observe his 91st birthday on Monday.Family members of veterans, or veterans themselves, can request to have the flag flown in honor or memory of any town veteran.
