State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two crashes, one in Carbon County and a second in Monroe County.

Troopers said a one-vehicle crash occurred at 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 28 along Ginsburg Circle in Penn Forest Township. Troopers said Gregory A. Shive, 20, of Lehighton, was driving a 2013 Kia Rio westbound when he traveled onto the berm and struck a tree. Shive was not injured and damage was moderate to the vehicle, which had to be towed.Troopers said Shive would be cited for the crash.Troopers investigated a one-vehicle crash at 2:06 a.m. on Aug. 24 along Bartonsville Road in Jackson Township. Troopers said Barry J. Conklin, 26, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2014 Ddge Dart westbound when the vehicle went onto the berm and struck a tree. After impact the Dodge spun clockwise and came to rest in the eastbound lane facing east.Conklin, who was not injured, was cited for the crash, troopers said.
