A 16-year-old Tamaqua male has been cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to the Tamaqua Area Senior High School on Aug. 27.

Principal Stephen Toth reported finding a green and silver marijuana smoking device on the teen, who then admitted to smoking marijuana before school that day.In addition to the police citation, the teen faces disciplinary action under the school district's zero tolerance policy.
