Tamaqua police are investigating a burglary at Tommy's Italian Specialty Shop, 41 N. Railroad St.

Sometime between Aug. 27 at closing and 7:35 a.m. Thursday, someone smashed the office window at the rear of the restaurant and gained entry. They were able to remove cash from the register as well as from a cash box in the office.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-668-5000.
