Safety Week program set

State police at Fern Ridge will be participating in the National Child Passenger Safety Week program later this month.

On Sept. 15 and 16, between 4 and 7 p.m., troopers will be at Kelly's Day Care, 1718 Mountain Road, in Blakeslee, for a child safety program.Parents interested in setting up an appointment for their child should call Miss Kelly or Miss Dayna at 570-643-0530 to set up an appointment. The event is free and open to the public.If you cannot make any of the dates above, state police will also be conducting a Child Seat Safety Check at the annual Chestnuthill Township Community Day scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at the township park at 221 Route 715 in Brodheadsville.Troopers can also accommodate your schedule. Call 570-646-2271 to set up an appointment at the Fern Ridge barracks.
