A Tamaqua man has been banned from Family Dollar Stores for life.

When caught trespassing on the South Railroad Street property on Friday, Tyrell James Rucker, 23, of 12 S. Greenwood St., Tamaqua, told police he knew he had been banned from the store, but it was only for six months and those six months had passed. Not so, said store personnel.Rucker's ban is for life, a fact he had been told when he was booted from the store earlier this year.Police cited him for defiant trespass.
