Lansford and surrounding police departments are looking for a man and woman who attempted to rob a young couple at the intersection of West Abbott and Coal streets around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The couple were standing at the corner with the female holding a tablet. The female was driving the blue four-door car when the male got out the passenger side, telling the girl "he wanted that," meaning her computer tablet.He then raised what they thought was an ax or possibly a sledgehammer.The couple fled the scene, running west on Abbott, while the aggressive pair drove east on Abbott.The man is described as being in his 30s with brown hair, wearing a blue tank top and sweat pants.The female driver was white with dark hair.
