Lansford and surrounding police departments are looking for a man and woman who attempted to rob a young couple at the intersection of West Abbott and Coal streets around 6:30 p.m.

The couple were standing at the corner with the female holding a tablet. The female was driving the blue four-door car when the male got out the passenger side, telling the girl "he wanted that" meaning her computer tablet.

He then raised what they thought was an ax or possibly a sledge hammer.

The couple fled the scene running west on Abbott while the aggressive pair drove east on Abbott.

The man is described as being in his 30s with brown hair, wearing a blue tank top and sweat pants.

The female driver was white with dark hair.
