A Tamaqua man has been cited on a fireworks complaint.

Police received a report about Thomas Katalenas, 25, of 225 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, allegedly throwing fireworks into the yard, scaring his neighbors, at 12:33 p.m. on Monday.When questioned, Katalenas told the officer he was just throwing "poppers" at the ground in his backyard.A search of the yard found fireworks debris, not poppers paper, leading to the citation.
